Awards
- On the occasion of the birthdays of Maximilian Haider (60) and Harald Rose (75) a congress was held on february 19th 2010 in Heidelberg. It dealt with the "Advances in Corrected Electron Microscopy in Materials Science and Biology".
- In 2005 CEOS won the Innovation Award of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
- In 2006 Maximilian Haider, Managing Director of CEOS, received the Karl-Heinz-Beckurts-Preis together with Harald Rose and Knut Urban for the development of the Cs-Corrector.
- In 2008 Maximilian Haider together with Harald Rose and Knut Urban received the Honda Prize for their achievements in aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy for high-resolution visualization of atomic structure.
- In 2011 Maximilian Haider received the renowned Wolf Prize in Physics together with Prof. Harald Rose and Prof. Knut Urban.
- In 2014 Maximilian Haider received the "Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award" together with Prof. Harald Rose and Prof. Knut Urban.
- "When other had given up on the goal of achieving subatomic precision, the three formed a team, secured funding and, within a decade, had solved the problem and designed a working prototype", the BBVA Foundation said in their press release.
